Despite misconceptions, low- and middle-income homebuyers do have access to home loans through their local Home Financing Agencies (HFA). The housing market is not making a uniform recovery from the recession. However, Standard & Poor reports that HFA loans are stable and will remain so, and HFA single-family loans are still outperforming the general housing market. Real estate agents are accustomed to working with different banks and loan agencies, but your publication can target those agents who have an abundance of HFA knowledge or work closely with a local HFA.

Ad/Promotion Ideas:
• Run a special classifieds page in the “Home” or “Lifestyle” sections of your publication featuring current home loan rates and HFAs.
• Feature a section on HFA loans and special rates.
• Include a special section specifically targeting first-time homebuyers who know little on the subject.

Businesses to Contact:
• Real estate agents
• Banks and creditors
• Specialized real estate accountants
• HFAs
• Credit report/score agencies
