With the current shape of the economy, many seniors may find themselves unemployed. The Bureau of Labor Statistics show that “by 2016, workers age 65 and over are expected to account for 6.1 percent of the total labor force.” Many of these older workers have been with the same company for years and may find it hard to adjust to the changing world of job searching. This provides your publication with the opportunity to offer the resources and information they need.

Ad/Promotion Ideas:
• Design a section specifically for higher-level job postings that might attract older workers.
• Create a special section with articles and job postings specifically geared to the older workforce.
• Contact local résumé writing clinics to advertise their services.
