May is National Photo Month. Countless Americans enjoy photography as a hobby as well as a profession. According to the National Employment Matrix in 2006, around half a million people were employed as photographers in the United States and more are entering the market all the time. With the ever expanding market for cameras and photo equipment, technology in the industry is forever moving ahead. Since so many people are taking pictures you can make it easy for them to buy and sell cameras and equipment in your publication.

Ad/Promotion Ideas:
• Create a section specifically for the buying and selling of cameras, camcorders and equipment.
• Promote freelance photographers and the services they offer. For example, include freelance photographers in a special bridal section.
• Include an area for camera sales in a special section about vacations.
• Create a special section dealing with cameras and photography, including history, new technologies and advertisements for services.
