Car dealers should emphasize the following features pertaining winter weather safety (Cars.com):

• Traction control
• Electronic stability system
• Four-/all-wheel drive
• Ground clearance
• All-season or winter tires
• Winter transmission modes
• Heated seats and/or steering wheel
• Heated side mirrors, wipers and windshield
